The Northville Kiwanis Club is perhaps best known for the delicious Italian sausages sold at local events such as the Victorian Festival and Art in the Sun. The proceeds from Italian sausage sales have for years been the only source of fund raising for the evening club. However, recently, The Northville Kiwanis Polar Bear Plunge has been added to support the growing need for support.

Each year, the Kiwanis Club purchases Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter turkeys, (along with vegetables, desert, and all the trimmings) and delivers these to various needy families around Northville in association with Civic Concern.

Members of the club also volunteer time to the Salvation Army as Bell Ringers at local grocery stores and merchants. The club sponsors a handicap bowling program which serves about 40 special needs bowlers in addtion to staging a bowling tournament, awards banquet and summer picnic for these bowlers. At the regional level, the Northville Kiwanis makes a financial contribution each year to the CS Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor. In addition Kiwanis of Michigan, along with international foundations, helps to sponsor high school students to the boys & girls state leadership seminars.
